This was the week America had been waiting for. The Republican Party officially presented Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan as their presidential and vice-presidential candidates. Republican operatives are pleased, but how did that go for America? For those of us looking for credible information and concrete plans of action, there was mostly disappointment. But let's talk about what we got instead: memorable performances and calculated lies.

My guest for the entire show will be Julianna Forlano from the satirical news segment Absurdity Today! Absurdity Today! is a satirical news segment that skewers politics and current events without the need to be network appropriate. Host and producer, Julianna Forlano has performed in venues across the US and Canada. She is also a professor of Media Studies at Brooklyn College and is a regular guest on talk radio programs across the nation.
